The work of the Vaccination Hub Jan to July 2021

The volunteers who greeted people and managed access were provided by Reading Voluntary Action. They did a terrific job working in  snow and ice, torrential rain and then finally the sun.   It was extremely cold at times for the volunteers who worked in all weathers.  They were awarded the High Sheriff’s Award in March  2021 for their work.

The High Sheriff of the Royal County of Berkshire, Willie Hartley Russell MVO DL, paid a special visit on 9th June to see the work which was being done and to talk to the volunteers and the NHS staff manning the Vaccination Hub in all weathers.

The HS presents the HS Award to Reading Voluntary Action on behalf of his predecessor Mary Riall.
