Hall & Meeting Room Hire

Hall use and bookings 

Garden Hall:  Day or Evening Bookings £20.00 per hour (charged by the hour);  Small Meeting Room: £15 per hour (charged by the hour).  Individual rates will be considered for long term bookings.

Friday / Saturday evening bookings  5.00pm – 11pm = £150.00. Please note that if you require access sooner then hourly charges apply.

Deposit of £150 required for some evening bookings, returnable if no additional clean up work is required.  Note, that depending on the timing of the event , weekends/ bank holidays, it may take a week after the event for the refund to reach your account.

For all bookings please complete the Watlington House hall booking form 2024 and sign the Conditions of Hiring the Hall/ Meeting Room: Watlington House Trust Hall Hire Terms 2024

We expect all users to tidy up in the kitchens after them and not leave drying or unwashed crockery or food on surfaces.  Bins should also be emptied. We will invoice retrospectively if we have to clean up after you.

Yoga groups and any parties to note Candles/ Tea lights must NOT be used in the garden hall

The hall is on one level throughout.  We have not as yet been able to make access wheelchair friendly, the doors of the late 1880s building are narrow, there are ramps to ease access.

Screen projectors are available free of charge, we have small plug in speakers are available but we do not have any other audio visual equipment. There is a large blank wall to project onto, flip charts and white boards also available. We also offer free Tea & Coffee making facilities.

The garden Hall is licence for entertainment (Performing Rights Society) but does not hold an alcohol licence. 

 

The small meeting room

This is alongside the Garden Hall room. Ideal as a quiet place to work or for a small meeting of up to 10,  12 at a squeeze.   The two tables can be collapsed if a different seating arrangement is required.

It has a small kitchenette area, tea & coffee making facilities are provided. It has its own toilet and Internet access. 

 A well insulated room with skylights bringing daylight from above. Glazed doors with privacy blinds.

Getting here

Access to the Garden Hall and Meeting room is strictly through the double wooden gates opposite to 71 South Street, RG1 4RA.  There are signs on each gate “Watlington House Hall” .
